Day 1: 43 guest from Pforzheim‘s partner cities Vicenza (Italy) and Osijek (Croatia), as well as from Arad (Rumania), County of Craigavon (Great Britain), Gozo (Malta), Heist-op-den-Berg (Belgium), L’Alfàs del Pi (Spain), Niepolomice (Poland), Pula (Croatia), Rijeka (Croatia) and Šentjur (Slovenia) started this new meeting introducing their Youth Councils or best practice examples of youth participation or integration projects.
Day 2: After transport to Pforzheim, Friday started off with a short lecture on Pforzheim’s 2000 years of migration history by Ms. Solombrino, free associate of the city’s office for cultural affairs. Especially right-wing-populism but also trends for the future of remigration by citizens were topics of the discussion that followed her lecture.
As important part of the EASY project, the whole of Friday evening was dedicated to an international event, that was open to the public and with experts on integration, youth participation. Primary cause was the celebration of 25 years of twinning between Pforzheim and Vicenza. The evening was opened by first mayor Dirk Büscher who welcomed all guests and participants from EASY towns, foremost however the special guests from Vicenza, Giancarlo Pesce and Daniele Guarda, and vice mayor of Osijek, Vladimir Ham.
The event was even more embellished by the school-band “Bluenote” from the Hebel-Gymnasium which accompanied the evening with its hot Jazz and Blues tunes.
Day 3: Workshop Day on Youth Participation and Creativity Contest and status EASY towns – Comparison and Exchange of Ideas
Once again integration was first within project partners delegations that ended those beautiful days giving themselves appointment to next EASYTOWNS Transnational Event that will be in GOZO (Malta) from 22 to 25 of March 2017.
